St Clare’s College has close links to the wider Canberra community through the Archdiocesan Church, other educational institutions, sport, charity work, the arts and business organisations. The College seeks to work collaboratively with the parishes from which many of our students come as well as with the main feeder primary schools.
Students undertaking the Years 11-12 Vocational course in Children’s Services have the option of linking their College studies in this course with advanced units at CIT in order to attain a nationally recognised qualification. An increasing number of senior students are also undertaking School-Based New Apprenticeships (SNAPS) as part of their studies which involves them spending significant amounts of time getting training in workplaces.
There is a strong sense of community within the College as students are encouraged to participate in community events such as the annual Swimming and Athletics Carnivals as well as St Clare’s Day. Students also are encouraged to support the House charities which raise large amounts of money each year to support a wide range of community and charitable organisations.
