- Year 11: 6 courses
- Year 12: 5 courses
Explanation of Course Types
Major Course: Completion of four units in a course.
Minor Course: Completion of two or three units in a course.
Major Minor Course: Completion of six units in a course.
Double Major Course: Completion of eight units in a course.
Accredited Courses (A): An accredited course is a course which has been accepted by the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies as being educationally sound and appropriate for students in Years 11 and 12.
Tertiary Courses (T): A Tertiary course is a course which has been accepted by the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies as forming a solid foundation for the study of a particular discipline at a tertiary level.
Vocational Courses (V): A Vocational course is a course which has been accredited by both the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies and Industry through the ACT Accreditation and Registration Council. Students are able to attain a nationally recognized vocational qualification.
Registered Courses (R): An R course is a course that is designed to further the student’s social, cultural, sporting and/or personal development.
Modified Course (M): An M course is an A course which has been modified to provide appropriate educational experiences for students who satisfy specific disability criteria.
