St Clare’s College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) accredited to deliver nationally recognised Vocational Education Courses (VET). Staff teaching these courses are suitably qualified and trained to deliver the competencies associated with the Training Package associated with each course.
From their study of these courses, students can achieve a nationally recognised Certificate II. Alternatively, if they do not satisfy all the requirements for a Certificate II, they will receive a Statement of Attainment outlining all competencies achieved.
The ‘RCC’ (Recognition of Current Competence) process at St Clare's College enables students to seek acknowledgement of experience and skills they possess that are required in a particular Vocational Education Course.
Explanation of letters used below
(A) = Accredited Course: A course which has been accepted by the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies as being educationally sound and appropriate for students in Years 11 and 12. (T) = Tertiary Course: A course which has been presented to an accreditation panel and has been accepted by the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies as forming a solid foundation for the study of a particular discipline at tertiary level and/or requiring study at an intellectual level compatible with success in tertiary studies. (V) = Vocational Course: a course that has been accredited by both the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies and Industry through the ACT Accreditation and Registration Council. Students are able to obtain a nationally recognised vocational qualification by successfully completing all units of competency and, in some courses, a number of vocational placements in industry.
