In addition to the many sporting opportunities students have within the curriculum, through Weekend Sport they can become involved in a range of different sporting activities. Weekend sport is managed by parents and staff. Each sport has a designated coordinator who organizes the teams, registrations and uniforms. Parent support is a necessity to enable continued participation in each of the sporting competitions.
Students are informed via the Daily Notices (which are read out each morning in Pastoral Care Groups) or over the PA system, about meetings and the collection of registration forms. These forms, and all related information, may be collected from the canteen.

Basketball
There are two competitions, one in terms 4 and 1, and the other in terms 2 and 3. For more information on Basketball, see ACT Basketball web site.
St Clare's College enters teams in the Social Grades of the basketball competitions conducted by Basketball Canberra. Games are played at either Belconnen Basketball Centre or Tuggeranong Indoors Sports Centre on Saturday or Sundays. Parental assistance is always required so if you have an interest or some expertise please contact us. We are currently looking for a Coordinator so we can enter some teams in the Winter roster.
Cricket

Cricket at St Clare's is largely managed by parents. Teams compete against other schools and clubs around Canberra under the auspices of the ACT Junior Cricket Association. Training is held after school at St Clare's on our oval or on our synthetic cricket nets. Parental assistance is always required so if you have an interest or some expertise please contact us.
Netball
St Clare's College has had a long tradition of playing netball. Games are played at South Canberra (Deakin) on Saturdays. The coaches, umpires and managers of the teams are parents, friends, senior students and ex-students of the college. Training is held either at school or at Deakin the courts. Registrations are conducted in February and the season concludes in September.
Rowing
Students regularly train and compete with Capital Lakes Rowing Club which is based at Kingston and St Clare's is always represented at school regattas both in the ACT and NSW. St Clare's College now has two parent liaison managers for rowing - for details, contact the Sports Coordinator at the College. Softball
Registration is at the end of August. For more information on softball, see ACT Softball web site.
Softball is a summer sport and the competition runs from October through to March. The ACT Softball Championships now take place in February/March and Woden Valley Softball Association enters teams in this event. St Clare's College has been well represented in the WVSA teams in both the Under 14 and Under 16 divisions and also has ACT representatives amongst its ranks.
Volleyball
Information can be obtained from the College PE department. St Clare's College competes in all ACT School Cup tournaments and various school competitions after school during the week. Training is held after school at St Clare's.
